Hannah is an Northumbrian writer living in Scotland whose work has been shortlisted for the British Book Awards, Locus Awards, Hugo Awards and the British Fantasy Awards, and longlisted for the Glass Bell Prize. Her first publications, Godkiller, Sunbringer and Faithbreaker in the Fallen Gods Trilogy, launched at #1 on the Sunday Times Bestseller List in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Her work has been published around the world in 16 languages and counting.
Her career has been in technical software consultancy and delivering accessible tools and services into the public sector. She has a first class degree in English from Pembroke College, Cambridge and a MSc from Edinburgh University.
Her next trilogy began with A Snake Among Swans in July 2026, which launched at #2 on the Sunday Times Bestseller List. She is inspired by world history and economics, speculative fiction and the dynamics of power.
