Kate Bailey

Kate holds an MA in Crime Fiction from UEA, and a diploma in Creative Writing from Oxford - credentials that lend a certain air of respectability to what is, in truth, a life largely fuelled by caffeine and curiosity.

A northerner now living in Hertfordshire, she spent four years living in Singapore, an experience that continues to shape her perspective and storytelling. Drawn to the darker edges of human nature, she has a particular interest in writing about the secrets that people keep, and the stories that unfold when those secrets refuse to stay hidden.

When not writing or reading, Kate can usually be found out walking - often accompanied by her dog, occasionally stalked by her cat, but always thinking about her next idea. She lives with her husband and three children, who provide both inspiration and a healthy level of chaos.
