Mushens Team Attends the Festive Launch of Jessica Bull’s THE AUSTEN CHRISTMAS MURDERS

The Mushens Entertainment team were delighted to visit Henry’s Townhouse once again for the festive launch of Jessica Bull’s novella, THE AUSTEN CHRISTMAS MURDERS. Henry’s Townhouse, now a gorgeous hotel with Regency features, was once the home of Jane Austen’s favourite brother. Jessica sparkled appropriately in gold and green Regency evening-wear, an outfit which she made herself, and she wasn’t the only guest wearing a gorgeous Regency dress! The guests first mingled in the main reception room (Jane’s Reading Room), ate delicious canapes, and posed for photos around the Christmas tree, while Jess signed some copies of her books. Also, Silhouette Sarah was back for another ‘Miss Austen’ launch to create beautiful silhouettes of the guests.

While this was already no ordinary book launch, Jessica’s launch was about to become even more unique when we were welcomed downstairs for some Yuletide candle decorating. It was incredibly relaxing to chat, while using paint in squeezable tubes to adorn our candles. Many guests created elaborate designs, such as holly leaves, gold garlands, regency lovers falling in love, and elaborate dot patterns. Emma decided to be abstract and mix all the colours together, with the result that her hands were covered in paint and her candle does not feature in this blog post (for obvious reasons).
