Lucy V Kirk
Lucy V Kirk is represented by Rachel Neely
Lucy grew up in West Yorkshire before studying geography at Durham University. She has been writing for as long as she can remember, from school newsletters and blogs to short stories and commercial copywriting.
Always happiest outdoors, her storytelling is rooted in her love for the landscapes and geographies of northern Britain. When not writing, Lucy can be found hiking across the Yorkshire moors, exploring ruined abbeys, and listening to spooky history podcasts.
Her debut novel, The Hare and the Lamb, is a stunning gothic Romantasy featuring a slow-burn sapphic romance. It follows Bree, the executioner-in-residence at Woolsley Abbey, who has spent the last twenty years dispatching the region’s most violent criminals one gentle, deadly kiss at a time. When she meets Evangeline – a sharp-tongued young woman with a roster of despicable crimes to her name – Bree discovers that Evangeline is already dead. Or rather, undead, and utterly unaffected by Bree’s touch.
