Books in the Media

Our lovely authors have received some great press this week!

Ahead of its publication in November, The Temple of Fortuna by Elodie Harper has already received some amazing reviews.

The Times has called Elodie Harper’s The Wolf Den trilogy "one of the best trilogies since Wolf Hall”!

Woman & Home interviewed Elodie about The Temple of Fortuna for their December Book Club.

The Temple of Fortuna was also one of Red Magazine’s best November books. They call it “a thrilling and devastating conclusion to this series.”

Richard Osman is an ‘Author of the Day’ for The London Book Fair 2024 on Wednesday 13th March. For The Bookseller, fair director Gareth Rapley said that Authors of the Day is one of the "most celebrated and popular features of The London Book Fair line-up" and that the chosen four "perfectly encapsulate the enthusiasm, talent and creativity that make our industry so special".

Eight of our wonderful authors have been named in the Waterstones yearly round-up.

In the fiction list across genres, Waterstones have named Atalanta by Jennifer Saint, The Temple of Fortuna by Elodie Harper and The Whispering Muse by Laura Purcell among their favourites of the year.

For their top crime and thriller books of 2023, Richard Osman’s The Last Devil to Die gets a special mention: “Spearheaded by the bestselling phenomenon that is Richard Osman's The Thursday Murder Club series (whose latest instalment is featured below), the genteel locations of 'cosy crime' have become enormously popular.”

Then in their ‘Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror’ category, Waterstones have included Godkiller by Hannah Kaner, The Battle Drum by Saara El-Arifi and The Winter Spirits, a wintry anthology featuring stories from Susan Stokes-Chapman and Laura Purcell.

Finally, in the humour and puzzle books category is Rob Temple’s Very British Problems Christmas Quiz Book!
