Claire Douglas tops BookTok bestseller list

THE FAMILY FRIEND by Claire Douglas has topped the BookTok bestseller list for July 2026.

Douglas’ novel, which was released in March, has shot to the top of the chart for the first time, dethroning Caro Claire Burke’s Yesteryear, which topped the chart in June.

The monthly bestseller list was started earlier this year as a collaboration between TikTok and Media Control, using verified retail-sales BookData collected by NielsenIQ, together with engagement from the #BookTok community.

Combining these two key "success" factors of the modern book market into one single official ranking, the chart features books that are "the most successful titles within the #BookTok community each month".
