A Cambridgeshire-born journalist and writer, Rob launched Very British Problems (@SoVeryBritish) in December 2012. He now boasts over 6 million followers across X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and TikTok. Writing about awkward Britishness serves as his personal therapy, as fans’ comments confirm that he’s far from alone in his quirky and rather bumbling habits. 

Rob Temple’s first book, Very British Problems, was published in the UK in Autumn 2013 by Little, Brown, and Very British Problems Abroad, followed in September 2015. In October 2017, Very British Problems III was also published by Little, Brown.Very British Problems: The Most Awkward One Yet was published in October 2019, Very British Problems Christmas Quiz Book, was published in October 2023 and his latest, Britain According to Very British Problems, published in October 2024.

The television show, Very British Problems, based on the Twitter feed, aired on Channel 4 in August 2015. His merchandising range is produced by Rapanui and The Calendar Club. 

His book, Born to be Mild (Little, Brown; 2020), is a memoir detailing his year of gentle adventures in the face of anxiety.
