Shouka Rohanizadeh is an Iranian-American writer and graphic designer residing in Southern California. She takes the beach for granted but withers if she goes more than three days without sunshine. She enjoys outdoor movies, concerts, reading picnics, and spending time with her familiar: A white sassy Maltese named Pearl. 

In 2024 she got accepted into the highly competitive chateau orquevaux artist residency and was also was mentored by the Round Table Mentorship program.

Shouka discovered her love of writing stories through fan fiction. Her works primarily feature darker storylines, imperfect Iranian heroines, twisty plots, all with a dash of humor.  

Her debut, The Mehmooni, is a gripping horror novel about six cousins competing in a scavenger hunt at their recently deceased aunt’s mansion, where she has hidden her $50 million fortune.
